Privacy Policy

IGViewer is built privacy-first. The short version: we don't store your search queries, we don't store the media we retrieve on your behalf, and we don't share data with third parties.

What we collect

  • Anonymous, aggregate analytics (page views, browser type) via privacy-respecting analytics. No personal identifiers, no fingerprinting.
  • Server logs of API requests for the purpose of rate-limiting and abuse prevention. Requests are bucketed by IP for up to 60 seconds and then discarded.
  • If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address until you unsubscribe.

What we don’t collect

  • Your Instagram credentials. We never ask for them.
  • Your search history. Each lookup is a stateless request.
  • Any media we fetch. We stream it through to you and keep nothing.
  • Browser fingerprints, ad-network identifiers, or cross-site tracking IDs.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies and a single privacy-respecting analytics cookie. There is no advertising cookie, no consent management dance required by law in most jurisdictions because we don’t share data with third-party processors.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data we hold about you by emailing privacy@igviewer.io. Because we collect almost nothing, the answer is usually “there’s nothing to delete.”
